Chris Lawson, leading point-to-point trainer in East Anglia with 10 winners and eight places from 29 runners during the 2007 season, has relocated to Kent and has vacancies for new owners/horses at the renovated Priory Home Farm. A former champion Owner/Trainer/Rider in East Anglia, Chris brings almost twenty years experience to this latest training establishment in Kent. |

Each of five horses in the yard won at least once in 2007, a season that included a runner in the Hiscox Intermediate Final at Cheltenham and a winner and several placed horses at the Folkestone hunter-chase evening in May. |
Originally designed and built as a model farm by the eminent architect Sir Reginald Blomfield in 1906, the premises offer superb training facilities for prospective and existing owners seeking a refreshing training establishment for their horses. |
Quiet lanes for conditioning work |
A 1m 2f undulating grass gallop is supplemented by a seven furlong oval woodchip canter track. Additional facilities include a range of schooling fences and hurdles, covered horse-walker, indoor and outdoor schools and 800 acres of off-road riding. Plentiful turn out and 24 hour supervision help to make Priory Home Farm the perfect location for training your horse. |
Our yard is always open for owners to visit their horses, watch schooling and work sessions or just pop in for a coffee and chat. With a bit of notice, early morning work watchers may even get breakfast! |
Regular winning jockeys include Andrew Braithwaite, Mathew Mackley, Jody Sole and Nick 'Dijon' Pearce. While we are always doing our best to train winners, we also place a huge emphasis on making point-to-pointing fun. Owner-riders are especially welcome. Injured, convalescing and horses out of training or in pre-training are happily taken on livery. |
